Reverse psychology It's only going to get better! Before T

hose six words are a mental mantra for Ann Rance and regularly bring a smile to her face. The reason for her optimism? It lies in just one

word: Thermage.

Ann has been one of Many women to benefit from a Thermage CPT treatment at Manor Skin Spa in Sale. Thermage CPT is considered to be at the cutting edge of beauty treatments for mid life ladies who want to enjoy tighter skin and greater definition of their best features. The CPT is the very newest version of the technology and the first in the Greater Manchester area. Cutting edge is a phrase which could be open to misinterpretation. So let's be clear: yes, the technology is the very latest, but there is NO cutting at all. The technology uses radiofrequency to deliver heat, stimulating the body's own collagen, making the skin tighter, smoother and younger feeling. The benefits of a Thermage treatment, on the other hand, accrue over time. It takes just an hour or two and involves a small handpiece being applied to the face or body where it vibrates gently. You feel a heating effect, a sign that the waves of warmth are penetrating deep into the skin and a cooling sensation which protects the skin.

Ann explained why she chose to have a treatment. ‘I am 56 and even though people told me I look good for my age,

I looked in the mirror and I could see what was happening. I would never go under the knife. Surgery and general anesthetics are not for me, not unless I am poorly. But a Thermage treatment sounded fantastic.

‘In the first few hours and days,’ said Ann, ‘there is a noticeable difference to the skin. But as the days pass, the effect improves as the collagen gradually continues to be stimulated. I can see the jowly look receding. And a friend of mine told me just recently my eyes look bigger.’

She continued: ‘The great thing is that in another six months, it will be even better. Roll on the Christmas parties!’

Ann continued: ‘I used to look at film stars in their 50s and 60s and wonder how they looked so great. Now I realize that it's thanks to Thermage they could honestly say they have never had surgery and I say 'bring it on'. The fact that it is here in Manchester is fantastic.’ Ann chose to have her treatment at Manor Skin Spa because it is run by dentist, Dr Anjali Shahi. She has been a patient of Dr Shahi for six years and has confidence in the professionalism of the practice and the friendliness of the team. She has recently taken on a part- time reception role while one of the team is on maternity leave and will be available to speak at the open evening at Manor Skin Spa on the evening of October 28th (see opposite page).
