The state of your office says it all, but what about when you’re managing a busy cosmetic surgery clinic based in the heart of the city? We met up with Nishant Agarwal, Managing Director of Castlefield Clinic to go back to the office.

THE JOB

Nishant is the Managing Director of Castlefield Clinic, who provide a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgical and non-surgical treatments as well as tailored skin care advice. Nishant works in the family business, so he has tried his hand at everything, but generally he can be found hard at work in his office working on marketing the business, managing the finances, giving the staff a good old pep talk, or developing the clinic with new hair-brained ideas; like the soon-to-be-launched Castlefield Clinic Spa.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Castlefield Clinic is on the prestigious St John Street, in central Manchester, or what some people call the Harley Street of Manchester. The clinic occupies the whole top floor of the prominent St John’s Chambers, where they carry out the surgery and treatments on- site. The clinic has been there since the company first started in 1992, and has a really homely and comfortable feel about it, while remaining professional, and boasting an excellent safety record.

WE ASK

What’s the best thing about working in Manchester? The sun always shines on Manchester... even when it’s raining.

What’s the favourite part of your job? Meeting some of the truly remarkable people who come to use our services, like Gary Numan, only recently! And the worst part of your job? I don’t find any downsides to working for myself. What’s the state of your desk? My home office is spotless, but my work office can only be described as “a totally organised mess”.

What do you do for lunch? Is it eat out? Or do you pack-lunch? I always eat out for lunch, with so many amazing restaurants and eateries, it’s hard not to. Are you part of the twitterati? Most definitely. What’s your guilty pleasure? I love my food, and unfortunately cakes are my weakness. How do you relax (after work)? I couldn’t beat sitting in a beer garden where I live, the lovely Heaton Moor.
