Asia boost for UK visual products group

BUSINESS is buoyant for Attractions Audio Visual, the UK-based visual products and interactive technologies provider, as

the

Brett Salmon, AAV’s Managing Director

group continues to grow its presence in high-growth markets around Asia.

According to AAV managing director Brett

Salmon, China has been a good market for the company over many years, while strong returns are also coming from Vietnam, Thailand and India. “We are currently finishing off a £2.5m

installation in Jia Xing, China,” Salmon said. “The project’s for the local government there

and consists of a 140m-wide fountain system with high jets up to 80m tall.” Attracting around 20,000 people each

night, the ambitious installation also includes giant waterscreens, digital video projectors, automated lighting, laser projection systems and full audio, all integrated in and around a 200sq. m lake. Salmon added: “Our attentive attitude toward

our clients and projects at every stage - however large or small the project is - sets us apart from other companies. We also offer a complete turnkey service providing a one-stop shop, thus giving our clients just one point of contact for each project from start to finish. This obviously simplifies the whole process as far as our clients are concerned by relieving them of the task of co-ordinating many different suppliers.”

36 For the short- to medium-term, AAV plans to

further expand its operations in China. “At present we have a representative office

dealing with front end sales and after sales service and a small technical team carrying out service work,” Salmon said. “However, with an expanding number of installations, we’re currently taking on more technicians to cope with increased demand in servicing and installation work. Also, as sales enquiries grow, there’s a need to increase the number of sales and creative staff.”
