WaveLoch announces 2010 FlowRider Championships

WAVELOCH has announced its 2010 World FlowRider Championships will mark another milestone in the world of FlowRiding.

With the introduction of the

International Flowriding League of the World Championships last October at the new Wave House Sentosa, in Singapore, the sport of flowriding dropped its boundaries as four countries came together for the competition. This year’s World FlowRider

Championships will hold competitions at various FlowRider facilities in three different regions of the world – the UK, US and Asia will all participate by holding leagues and competitions as they select their best riders who will meet at Wave House Sentosa on November 4 to compete for the WFC title.

The WFC qualifiers have already begun in the US as

the 16 stop National Flow Tour began in April, with the finals scheduled for August at the Saloman Centre in Ogden, Utah.

Great Wolf Resorts acquires major stake in Creative Kingdoms

GREAT Wolf Resorts, one of the largest operators of indoor waterpark resorts in the US, has acquired a majority stake in Creative Kingdoms, a developer of experiential gaming products including MagiQuest, a high-tech, interactive, fantasy entertainment game. The company has acquired a 62.4 per cent preferred

equity interest in Creative Kingdoms in exchange for all of the US$8.7m principal balance, plus accrued interest, of convertible indebtedness owed by Creative Kingdoms to Great Wolf Resorts. Great Wolf Resorts CEO, Kim Schaefer, commented:

“Since installing our first MagiQuest game at a Great Wolf resort in 2006, this high-tech, interactive, live-action adventure game has become a key attraction for our guests. “This acquisition allows us to protect an important

proprietary amenity and revenue stream. Additionally, combining Creative Kingdoms’ remarkable record of imagination and innovation and its extensive patent portfolio, with our sales and marketing platform should create opportunities to further grow the unique products and expand the MagiQuest platform in the next several years, providing us with an attractive return on our investment.” This news comes at the same time as Great Wolf Resorts
