Fairmont brings back Shanghai landmark
One of China's most iconic hotels is
again welcoming guests after the Fairmont Peace Hotel opened its doors in late July after a comprehensive restoration programme. The hotel, which opened in 1929 and
was widely known as the ‘Number One mansion in the Far East’ due to its prime location along the Bund, had been
priced from £2,195pp, with the first departure on October 8 2010. The price includes international flights from London via Bangkok with Thai
closed since 2007. The 270-room hotel has six restaurants and lounges, including the Jazz Bar, a Shanghai institution since the 1930s. The eighth floor hosts the Peace Hall,

Malacca gets new five-star resort
The newest resort to open in Malacca, Malaysia, the Philea Resort & Spa, opened this summer. Situated in Ayer Keroh, Malacca, the 201-room luxury resort has been built around a valley and has water features, such as man-made
waterfalls. The property also features the Rumah Tanjung Spa, a gym and sauna, and a kids’ club. Malacca is a designated UNESCO
