BY LAURA GELDER The GoldenEye Hotel and Resort

will open this November on Jamaica's north coast, in the former home of Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. The Island Outpost property is owned

by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell and has been restored to preserve many original features, including the desk where Fleming penned all 14 Bond novels. The 52-acre estate has 11 new beach

garden with an outdoor lounge. GoldenEye’s beach casual restaurant,

Le Bar Bizot, has light bites, cocktails and international wines, and the Gazebo features an all-day lounge and an evening-only restaurant, serving up local fare with an international twist. Jamaican Olympic tri-athlete Iona

Beauty and body therapies using locally grown herbs and flowers will also be available. Rates start at £360 per night during low season and £535 during high season, and include full breakfast. www.islandoutpost.com
