blue, a design company, inc. was founded in 1995 on the premise

that the pursuit of excellence in architecture, interior design and proj- ect management could best serve their clients’ needs. This global firm offers architecture, interior design, planning and resourcing services along with full project management. The company strives to provide a stimulating and enjoyable professional experience while providing outstanding environments for clients and the public. Timothy DuPont, designer of the DesignHouse kitchen, is the principal of blue, a design company, inc. DuPont states, “DCOTA suggested pushing the envelope with DesignHouse, whether by using new textures, over the top design or bold colors.” He considered this request as he would a client request and selected an intense lilac color for the wall paint. In addition to being beautiful, the classic contemporary kitchen DuPont designed is extremely practical and child-friendly. The kitchen utilizes many durable finishes, including laminate for the countertops, stain-proof porcelain tile for the flooring and stainless steel for the breakfast table. The Art Deco wall cabinet in the hallway and the original Wilfredo Lam artwork gracing the walls tie DuPont’s room together.
