Both residential and contract have the same quality frames and workmanship. The differ- ence is mainly in the springing area. For our residential pieces we do true eight-way hand tie; however, with commercial or hospitality work, we use continuous eight or nine-gauge no-sag springs. In addition, the softer fills typical in residential use, such as 50/50 grey goose, are omitted entirely.


In what way has technology impacted


the company, from inspiration all the way through to sales? Technology really has changed the indus-


try especially as far as how we reach the de- sign trade. We have found designers are us- ing the Internet and steering away from hand catalogs, so we have tried to stay up-to-date with the changing times. We are utilizing the Internet, keeping our full catalog online, as well as keeping new custom items on the Web. Our products are still designed using the true method taught by Mr. Kisabeth.


Do you have a favorite piece? Which is it and why? I have to admit I have more than one fa-


vorite piece, but if I had to choose, I think I would go with the Lexi Chair. It’s an oc- casional chair, very comfortable, and the design is very today. It can go pretty much anywhere, from a hotel lobby to a formal liv- ing room or a bedroom. I love it, and best part is you can make it fun or serious just by the
