I pull the shirt over a metal plate which I’ll use as a shirt board. Now I can use magnets to hold down the laser film on the shirt.

With the film in place on the shirt I use some small magnets to hold the film firmly in place. You don’t want the shirt moving during the next step so use as many magnets as possible to hold the film in place.

I work with Createx Opaque White Textile paint diluted just a little with water. After I sprayed the white through all of the holes I remove all the magnets form the left to the right. Then I lift up the film, to check that all the reference lines are on the shirt.

After spraying the white thru or ref- erence holes and removing the stencil you can see the pattern it has left on the shirt in this picture.

Finally I can start airbrushing. It’s a lot work, but the results are very satisfying. I have no plan which part I will spray first; in this case I start with the teeth. As you can see I al- ways have my reference picture right in front of me and refer to it often during the painting process.

I think 97% of the shirt is white paint. The effect is a high contrast painting.
