“I’ve worked in other mediums, such as pen and ink, wa- ter color, colored pencils, graphite, charcoal and pastel, but when I started working with the airbrush, to me, ev- erything else just paled in comparison. I now combine airbrush with charcoal, graphite and color pencil to give my work a more textured look. I’m still doing self stud- ies.”
“I read lots of comic books as a kid, some of my favorite artists were John Byrnes, Sal Buscema, Curt Swan, Mike Grell and Jack Kirby, but I have been greatly influenced by my Uncle Robert. Steven Driscoll, along with Thomas Blackshear and Drew Struzan were others that influenced Adrian. “But my Uncle Robert I think is still the best.”
Still living in the San Fernando Valley, in California with his wife and children, Adrian says his family is very sup- portive of his artwork.
