Next, I use some transparent brown to add some depth to the lettering on the rear of the case. The more shad- ing you do here the greater the 3 demensional look you should be able to achieve.
This step I add the stencils for the Habanos lettering and the Cuban seal. I use semi-opaque yellow around the Habanos let- tering and detail black for the small symbol. Remember, light coats is the key to building color with AutoAir paints. Next, I apply several coats of a custom mix of blue-ish green for the Cuban Seal. Be sure to mask off the other areas before paint- ing the next colors to avoid over-spray.
Next, I uncover the Habanos lettering and add a second, slightly smaller stencil over top to achieve the outlined letter look. For this step I use semi-opaque red for the lettering. I also use this red for the letters at the bottom of the Cuban Seal.
With the Habanos lettering complete, I remove the lettering masking and tape off two thin lines down each side of the band. Here I apply several light coats of pearl gold until I reach my desired tone. This color will really come alive after the clear coat has been applied at the end.
