STUDIO 82
Many people aspire to start-up their own business at some stage in their lives but many never quite make it into self-employment. The comfort of a regular salary every month is an assurance that the bills will be paid on time, while the insecurity of not knowing when the next cheque will arrive, especially in cash straitened times, can often leave a business idea dead in the water. However, for those who have the talent and the nerve to take the plunge, starting their own business can be hugely rewarding. Michelle Martin is a perfect example of
someone who had to make that choice. She set up Studio 82 in January of this year having taken voluntary redundancy just before Christmas. “I’ve always wanted to set up my own company but it took extraordinary circumstances to give me the push I needed,” explains Michelle.
