Residents and motorists in one West Yorkshire borough will be treated to the sight of civil enforcement officers patrolling the streets on push bikes. Parking operator

since November 2006, the new contract sees seven existing members of staff transfer to VINCI Park. An additional 13 new members of staff will be recruited to supplement the existing workforce to the levels required under the contract. VINCI Park has
committed, as part of the new contract, to significant staff development and training, with all CEOs being encouraged to take the NVQ Level 2 in controlling parking areas over the
next 12 months. Based at new
premises in Halifax town centre, VINCI Park will introduce several initiatives to provide staff with a convenient way of getting around the borough, which covers 140 square miles. Tese include the provision of mopeds and bicycles as a time saving and environmental mode of transportation. Te contract was
awarded to VINCI Park following a competitive tender.
