BARTON
ELECTRICAL NAMED UK’S MOST LOVED ELECTRICAL FIRM
Bar ton Electrical, in Ipswich, is the most loved fi rm of electricians in the UK, according to a massive nationwide search run by TheBestOf. During the two week campaign Bar ton Electrical attracted glowing testimonials from its loyal customers who recommended its unbeatable customer service. Barton Electrical is owned by Graham
Barton who set up the business 40 years ago. He prides the company on customer satisfaction and all Barton Electrical staff are fully trained to the latest standards and in the latest techniques to deliver a totally safe, quality installation. Graham commented, ‘We strive to give
fi rst class service, so it is fantastic to know that we’re getting our customer care so right. We are a large enough business to get the job done, but small enough to care – customer care and safety is paramount in this line of business.’ ‘Graham is running a superb business, and should be rightly proud to be the most loved electrician in the UK – but to be honest what’s been underscored again and again in this campaign is just how many fantastic local electricians there are in the UK today, and how keen people are to praise them’, said Nigel Botterill, CEO of TheBestOf.

While welcoming the launch of the ‘Warm Homes, Greener Homes Strategy’, BEAMA believes the government has missed a golden opportunity to maximise household CO2 reductions and improve householder comfort. The association says the strategy surprisingly fails to give prominence to the effective role of any type of controls, in particular those for heating and hot water systems. Dr Howard Porter, BEAMA’s chief operating
offi cer (COO), commented, ‘Yet again we have a government policy failing to go beyond the traditional insulation message. In doing so, it completely ignores the role of heating controls in reducing heating bills and carbon emissions. ‘With 84 per cent of the energy used in
an average home for heating and hot water, this accounts for about 70 per cent of the carbon emissions. Government has rightly recognised the need to address these energy savings as a priority and has heavily focused its policy on insulation measures. Yet, households must simultaneously consider other issues such as improving their boiler’s efficiency and ensuring it sits within a well- controlled heating system.’
