International 505 Dinghy Pacific Coast Championship Regatta May 24

The Port Townsend Sai l ing

Association wi l l host the 2010 International 505 Dinghy Pacific Coast Championship Regatta at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. The event will be a one-design regatta sailed in the exciting International 505 Dinghy class. It will include between six and twelve races sailed over three days on Port Townsend Bay under the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). There will be shore-side activities including a barbeque at Fort Worden Beach on Saturday evening. Awards and prizes will be given out on Monday afternoon. For information: Go to ptsail.org or

Leukemia Cup & AquaQuest June 12

On Saturday, June 12 boaters of all

persuasions will have the opportunity to choose between two concurrent events: the Leukemia Cup Regatta on Elliott Bay and the first ever AquaQuest – a scavenger hunt for powerboaters – on Lake Union. The two events are fundraisers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The course starts in front of the Elliott Bay Marina Breakwater to a mark at the Grain Elevators Pier 86, then to a mark off the Seattle Aquarium at Pier 59, then to a mark off the west end of the Elliott Bay Marina.
