The 20th Annual Victoria Harbour

Floating Boat Show, April 29 & 30, May 1 & 2, will be the largest and most exciting show hosted by the BC Yacht Brokers Association and the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority yet. In addition to spending the day in one of BC’s most beautiful locations, visitors to the Victoria Harbour Floating Boat Show will enjoy the opportunity to view upwards of 200 new and pre- owned boats for sale. From inflatable’s, aluminum fishing boats, cruisers and kayaks to 70’ luxury power and sail cruisers and everything in between, the Victoria Harbour Show has a boat for every budget and every lifestyle. “Part of the attraction of the show for first-time boaters is the opportunity to view so many different kinds of boats and find the one that will meet all of their needs as well as enjoying the wonderful facilities the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority offers,” said Don Young, President of the BCYBA.

Tour Of Boats, Yachts & Cars May 16

The Shipmates, the women’s

auxiliary of Tacoma Yacht Club, will present the 2010 Tour of Boats, Yachts and Cars on Sunday, May 16 from 12:00-5:00 pm. Tickets are $3 each or 6 for $15. All proceeds from this event benefit local charities in the Tacoma area. There will be classic wood boats, and newer fiberglass boats to tour. Classic cars will also be available for viewing. The public is welcome, please wear soft soled shoes. At the Tacoma Yacht Club located at 5401 N. Waterfront Drive, Tacoma, at the Club’s Guest Dock.

NW Maritime Center and Wooden Boat Foundation Opening Day May 1

The Northwest Maritime Center

and Wooden Boat Foundation will be fully operational in time for this years’ Opening Day celebration May 1st. This marks the culmination of almost 12 years of visioning, brownfield clean-up, fundraising and, finally, construction of this beautiful new landmark on the shores of Port Townsend Bay. Home to a boat shop, ship’s chandlery, meeting facility, boathouse, classrooms and what will be a fully functioning Pilothouse, these structures will attract visitors by land and by sea. The Wooden Boat Chandlery and

Aldrich’s Galley will make their debut on May 1st when the Port Townsend Yacht Club hosts their Opening Day events. The public is invited to tour the boat shop, see what’s new at the Wooden Boat Chandlery and watch Opening Day activities. The fundraising is not quite done, please help contribute.
