ispo china : KEY FACTS
Early March saw the 2010 edition of ispo China, a fast-growing show of increasing importance. ispo
China has nearly doubled in size in just a year, with 119 exhibitors in 2009 growing to an incredible 210
exhibitors with 300 brands for the 2010 show across five halls, which equates to almost 6,000m2 of
exhibition space.
New brands attending include Columbia, Ecco, Black Diamond, Spyder, Atomic, Head, and Karrimor.
During ispo china a number of forward thinking conferences and forums take place, with a strong
focus on outdoor, bringing together many of the leading names in the outdoor sports industry as well as
investment institutions, all with their eye on the massive potential that is growing in China – and Asia's –
outdoor industry.
Mark Held, Secretary General of the European Outdoor Group, addressed the ispo China Sports
Industry Investment Forum, giving an overview on the development and current status of outdoor sports in Europe.
It is expected that in 2011 there will be a UK exhibitor area as more brands , particularly outdoor and wintersport, are identifying the huge
potential in China.
The show's distributor matchmaking concept area is also growing in demand.
