Days 5-6: Moab

Moab is a great place from which to explore three of the best parks in America: Canyonlands National Park, Deadhorse Point State Park, and Arches National Park, with its natural sandstone bridges and arches, shaped by nature over thousands of years. Creating some of the classic backdrops of modern day commercials and Western films of yesteryear, all three parks offer a huge choice of hiking trails. Many of which are loop trails, offering varying distances and levels of difficulty. One popular outing is the 3 mile hike up to Delicate Arch at sunset, where the stone surrounding the Arch creates a natural amphitheatre. Other hikes include Devils Garden in Arches National Park and a host of hikes in the nearby Canyonlands. A float trip on the Colorado River, mountain biking, a scenic flight or a jeep tour are also great options.

Day 7: Monument Valley

Today we reach the Navajo Indian Reservation, the biggest Indian Reservation in the US. More than 200,000 Indians of the Navajo tribe call this home. In the heart of the Indian Reservation lies Monument Valley Tribal Park, named for the giant sandstone formations which are scattered across the desert. We have the opportunity to explore this

amazing landscape on a Navajo- guided jeep tour.

Days 8-9: Grand Canyon

With the dimensions of 450km long by 630km wide by 1,600m deep, it’s easy to see how this canyon achieved its moniker. Overwhelming in real-life, the Grand Canyon is a natural wonder and impressive at any angle. Try a helicopter flight to get a true idea of its magnitude. Nothing beats ending the day with a fiery- hued Grand Canyon sunset.

Day 10: Las Vegas

The journey ends in Nevada’s entertainment capital – the gambling and show paradise of Las Vegas where you will spend your final evening. Dance with lady luck with a roll of the die.

Day 11: Las Vegas - London

Enjoy a morning at leisure, before transferring back to Las Vegas airport for your Virgin Atlantic flight back to London Gatwick.
