Kruger Lodge Experience
No visit to South Africa is complete without a safari, a chance to spot the ‘Big Five’ and to wander the vast open savannah. Join us as we embark on a magical journey into this vast, game-filled national park. Search for lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant during the day, and relax in a comfortable lodge at night.
Day 1: Johannesburg - Private Reserve
Depart from Johannesburg airport and head for the Greater Kruger Park area, to arrive at your Private Safari Lodge by lunch time. Settle into camp and then head off on a late afternoon/evening Big Five game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle. Following sundowner drinks at one of the waterholes and a thrilling evening’s game drive, return to camp to enjoy a welcoming traditional meal under the African sky. (D)
Day 2: Kruger National Park
Today enter the Kruger Park through one of the central gates, where our wildlife experience unfolds. Enjoy breakfast at a popular picnic spot before continuing through some of the best game drive routes that Kruger has to offer. This gives us the opportunity to experience South Africa’s various birdlife, copious game and smaller animals in their natural habitat. Depart the Park at sunset and return to the Lodge for an evening of relaxation. (B/D)
Day 3: Private Reserve
After a hearty breakfast spend the day at leisure, relaxing at the Lodge
or taking part in the various optional activities on offer. End the day with a late afternoon/evening game drive. Guided by the aid of spotlights,track the elusive creatures of the night and then return to the Lodge to enjoy a boma dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Johannesburg
After an early morning wake-up venture out on a morning nature walk. Escorted by qualified rangers, you will get skilled in nature’s finer details like bird, tree and spoor identification. Enjoy brunch at the Lodge prior to driving along the Drakensberg Escarpment to view the impressive Three Rondavels overlooking the Blyde River Canyon. Continue your journey to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon. (B)

Nairobi Crafts and Markets
A great and safe way to visit the best of the busy markets and artisans resident in Nairobi. Get amongst the hustle and bustle with your experienced guide to show you the ropes of bargaining Kenyan style. Take in a road side lunch of traditional Kenyan fare - this is a great way to find your feet in this big African city.
Day 1: Nairobi
After a brief introduction at your Hotel, you will depart and drive a short distance to the City market. This market is located in the heart of the city and is popular with locals and visitors. Residents visit the market to purchase fresh vegetables and meat while visitors visit the numerous craft shops that are within the market looking for the perfect bargain. From here you’ll take a 15-min drive to the Westlands suburb of the city where you will visit another souvenir market. Smaller in size than the City Market, the Westland Market offers an opportunity to interact with the locals and enhance bargaining skills. You’ll then be driven on to one of the many open air (mobile) markets before driving back to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: Nairobi
After breakfast, depart at 8.30am for a 30-min drive to the African Heritage. Here there will be the opportunity to view some of Kenya’s best crafts and to purchase these. From here drive on to the Karen area to visit Kazuri beads, a workshop that has created employment for

struggling single mothers. Depending on the day of the week, there may be an opportunity to tour the workshop before browsing and purchasing the finished product in their shop. Afterwards drive a short distance to Utamaduni Craft centre. This 2 storey building houses 18 shops, filled with numerous African crafts from antiques to wood carvings, jewellery, bronze items, glassware, cloth and much more. Return to the hotel at about 1pm where onward arrangements can be made. (B)
