ead off the beaten track to explore America’s canyon country. From the bright lights of Las Vegas take in the stunning sights of Canyonlands National Park,

Monument Valley and the most famous canyon of them all – the Grand Canyon. Along the way, stop by Zion National Park, explore Bryce Canyon and hang out with cowboys at a ranch.

Day 1: Las Vegas

Take a Virgin Atlantic flight from London Gatwick to Las Vegas, arriving the same day. On arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Zion National Park

After an early morning briefing at the hotel, drive to Zion National Park, which encircles Zion Canyon, a spectacular gorge in dramatic desert and canyon country. Here we witness the multicoloured stairway, the red-brown Watchman (soaring 780m above the canyon floor) and the mighty West Temple. The white, pink and red rocks make this park a photographer’s dream.

Day 3: Bryce Canyon National Park

The indescribably beautiful Bryce Canyon is noted for its eroded sculpture-like formations. We can appreciate its uniqueness on an afternoon walk through the area. There is a good variety of hikes here, from short rim walks to longer trails to deep down into the Canyon. In the evening you will be able to experience one of the most amazing sunset’s as the sun’s rays colour the hoodoos in hues of gold and fire red.

Day 4: Western Ranch

Catch a spectacular sunrise over the Bryce Canyon before heading to a western ranch to meet the local cowboys and learn about life on the land. Why not spend the afternoon horseback riding or relaxing on the vast grounds before sitting around a crackling fire and swapping stories late into the night.
