the instructions of how to play.
The Players:
This game allows you to play as individuals or as a team.
1. Singles – played 1 v 1
2. Team knock out – each team offers a rider to compete
Riding the Wave:
Get the challengers to come towards the screen. Outline how
to control the rider and how to score points. Each rider has 1
minute to ride the wave and score as many POTENTIAL points
for their team as possible. Record the score at the end of each
ride. The highest points scorer, or team get to go 1st.
The Scoring:
Using multi mark questions each rider has the chance to
potentialy score their top score from their ride. Before being
asked the question both teams must divide their surf scores by
the number of possible marks available e.g. if rider 1 scored
780 and rider 2 scored 1100 on their rides, and the marks
available for the question were 4, each rider would be given
195 and 275 points per correct answer respectively. Once the
question has been asked each team has 1 minute to write down
a suitable answer to try and gain maximum points.
Adaptations:
1. Give bonus points for the highest scoring move on the wave
2. Get the teams to produce their own questions from past
papers and mark schemes and use them when playing
