2012 Cannon Art Gallery Invitational Jan. 22 – March 11

Five artists selected from the 2011 Juried Biennial by Curator of Exhibitions Karen McGuire will be featured in this 2012 Invitational Exhibition. The featured artists are Robert Ecker (painting), Becky Guttin (assemblage), Roy Jenuine (sculpture), Robert Nelson (drawing) and Sasha Koozel Reibstein (ceramics).


International Guitar Night

The Cultural Arts Office joins forces with the Museum of Making Music for this concert – our fourth such presentation and always a sell-out event. Four of the world’s foremost guitarists perform their latest works and then exchange musical ideas. IGN Founder Brian Gore is joined by England’s Adrian Legg (electric), Germany’s Lulo Reinhardt (gypsy swing), and Brazil’s Marco Pereira (samba). Opera Previews

Dr. Ron Shaheen is back for this 12th year to present our highly popular Opera Previews. Dr. Shaheen will focus on the four productions of the San Diego Opera’s 2012 season, offering an in-depth look at the history, music and story of each opera with visual and musical selections culled from legendary productions. Tickets are distributed starting at 9:15 a.m.; doors open at 9:45 a.m.
