The Ultimate Road Trip

A MAJESTIC DRIVE LEADS YOU TO A PLACE OF BEAUTY.

W

here is Eagle Point you might ask? It’s a 3.5-hour drive south of Salt Lake City or a 3.5-hour drive north of Las Vegas. It’s not exactly

near anything and precisely the reason that a road trip there is in order. The open road calls and this time it’s all about the destination and not the journey. The final 18 miles of the trip on a scenic mountain road gives way to Eagle Point, your outpost for the next few days. While it's surrounded by big mountains and old-growth forest and is as likely a haunt for big-game wildlife as any place in the state, this small resort is a warm outpost in the Tushar Range, far from city lights. Enjoy cozy condos, the log home-style Outpost Grill that not only serves up tasty dishes but DJs on the weekends, hot tubs, terrain parks, 450 inches of snow annually and uncrowded slopes where it’s not unheard of to score untracked powder turns under the chair at lunch time. You could get comfortable with that, right? —Brandon Ott
