I couldn’t resist the untracked powder and made an early turn toward the greatest run of my life. Visit Powder Mountain and you’ll understand why so many people leave exhausted but smiling. With over 7,000 uncrowded acres, abundant pow- der stashes, affordable cat skiing and an easygoing vibe that encourages all skill levels to explore, it feels more like a dream than a place. Pow Mow, as locals call it, is a simple mountain that
doesn’t need glitz to compensate for a lack of natural talent. As a result of its size, Powder Mountain can initially seem overwhelming. My suggestion is to ski with a mountain host, like Roscoe. It’s free and gives you a local’s perspective of the mountain.
Powderhounds shouldn’t miss the single-ride or full-day of cat skiing, which offers stunning views and mega-long powder runs. Want more? Explore Powder Country and its 1,200 acres of ungroomed tree runs and take a Pow Mow shuttle to get back home. “We finished our day by taking the snowcat to the back bowls.
