YOU CAN DO IT!
It’s a long day in the mountains that any advanced skier would love. Are you comfortable on your skis and able to make confident turns in a variety of snow conditions? Check. Are you reasonably fit? (You will enjoy the day a lot more if you are.) Check. Standard alpine skis? Perfect. Sorry, no snowboards but backcountry-touring skis are not necessary. For $395, we provide a liſt ticket that gets you through all six resorts, lunch at Solitude Mountain Resort, and a day with a couple of merrymaking guides who love what they do and can’t wait to share it with you!

includes Alta and Snowbird in the spectacular, glacially created Little Cottonwood Canyon. Directly in front of us is Big Cottonwood Canyon, home to Brighton and Solitude resorts. The lower reaches of Big Cot- tonwood contrast Little Cottonwood, with softer, more rounded moun- tains. The differences in the terrain, as we move through the day, become the main topic of conver- sation. Only in the Central Wasatch can you move so freely between resorts and the spaces in between, which gives us all, even me, a thrill of discovery. Happens every time.
It’s so easy to get lost in the delight of a day on the Interconnect Tour. For most of my guests, this is the first glimpse of what backcountry skiing has to offer. We all connect with skiing for different reasons, whether you enjoy the uncompli- cated freedom of sailing downhill, or friendships cultivated during après- ski, the sport affects us all uniquely. For me, it’s the clearing of the mind and soul the mountains bring. It warms me to hear a guest exclaim how fulfilled she feels while traveling through this majestic landscape on skis.
