In terms of scale versus impact, Tom Dale’s one-person dance production Surge looks to deliver maximalist excitement. It will transform this venue’s theatre space into an immersive digital audiovisual light show, with performer Jemima Brown the human focus – as well as enacting the choreography of Nottingham-based director Dale, she’ll be singing live as well. Surge’s music, indeed, has been written for the piece by Ital Tek, a dubstep-adjacent producer (who has an album out the week before this date). Also awaiting you this evening is Sub:Version, 10 miniature group pieces for dancers soundtracked by the music of Wen, another UK bass music sort.
