Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of Maximillian Victor Self’s death aged 29, this memorial exhibition has been brought together by his mother Nicky Watts and the owners of this Cardigan gallery. Resident in nearby St Dogmaels, Self used art as a creative outlet for his mental health issues, creating highly intricate black and white drawings with fine liner pens; his most widely seen piece, from 2020, was drawn directly onto a wall of a Haverfordwest psychiatric hospital, where he was sectioned at the time.
