Rhodri Davies’ gig promo venture Nawr bounces back this month with two shows. The second, in Hay-On-Wye’s Old Electrical Shop and headlined by folk experimentalist Jacken Elswyth, is worthy of note too, but first there’s the return of dazzling Baltimore rap duo Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals to Swansea after a Davies-booked show there last year. Since that date they’ve released their second album King Cobra to rippling critical applause, its mix of radical/leftist lyrics and funk-meets- modern composition instrumental sections establishing them a sweet niche in hip-hop.
