Cardiff Foodies Fest coming to Bute Park

Bute Park soon plays host to Cardiff Foodies Festival (Sat 6-Mon 8 May). A three-day celebration of food, drink and music, you can watch Michelin-starred and leading local chefs cooking their signature summer recipes in The Chefs Theatre. Learn how to make show-stop- ping cakes in The Cake & Bake Theatre with expert bakers (including Bake Off stars), who will share their best tips live on stage with easy-to-make recipes. Al- ternate indulging yourself in sampling new wines, champagnes and cocktails in The Drinks Theatre with browsing the global street food on offer. Meet artisan producers. Swansea Street Food Fest arrives this Easter

And if three days sounds good, how does four grab you? Head for Swansea’s Museum Park for the return of Swansea Street Food Festival over Easter week- end (Fri 7-Mon 10 Apr). With 30 top street food traders from across Wales and the UK arriving at the marina, the or- ganisers will be hoping to attract similar numbers to last year’s successful event. No two traders cook the same cuisine: Indian, Taiwanese bao, Japanese, fried chicken, vegan, Moroccan, Thai, Uzbek, Jamaican, Mexican, Afghan and more. Poca to open in Cardiff
The third restaurant from Antonio Si- mone (Dinas Powys’ The Humble On- ion, Barry’s Alium), Poca is set to open on Cardiff’s Kings Road this spring.
