RC15 – Recommendations for the use of portable heaters in the workplace
Ths document outlines good practice for the management of portable heaters in the workplace where their use cannot be avoided. Consideration is given to heaters fuelled by electricity, LPG and liquid fuels, and heaters designed for use in the open air. Practical advice is given to assist in selection and management of suitable appliances, with an emphasis on their maintenance and safe use. The recommendations apply to portable and transportable electrical,
administered by
gas and liquid fuelled space heaters designed for use in industrial and commercial premises.
RC26 – Recommendations for thermal fluid heating systems
These recommendations apply to the design, installation and operation of thermal fl uid heating systems in relation to both liquid phase and vapour phase applications. They are intended to provide background information for insurers, property owners, specifi ers and fi re safety managers regarding the fi re hazards that these installations may introduce into the workplace and the measures that should be taken to mitigate these.
