Rob Whittaker works as a consultant clinical psychologist in Bradford. He splits his time between the Diabetes Psychology Service at Bradford Royal Infi rmary and the Homeless Psychology Service in Bevan House GP practice. He is a member of the teaching faculty at the Institute of Narrative Therapy and has a long-standing enthusiasm for applying narrative, collaborative and systemic ideas to clinical work, supervision and service development. T e AFT offi ce is a hive of activity

At the time of writing this article Chloe was working as an assistant psychologist in a clinical health service in the NHS as well as undertaking a foundation course in systemic practice. She is pleased to share that she is currently undertaking her doctorate in clinical psychology. As many may be able to relate, it has felt like a long route to training. However, this has enabled her to work in a range of settings and given her valuable insight into how the ever-changing landscape of services impacts on clients, professionals and wider organisations. Working with Rob on this project has helped her to learn how clinicians may navigate between diff erent business cultures and service demands whilst promoting professional development and positive therapeutic change.
