Sword & Trowel 2016: Issue 2 FIRST SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY IN COLOMBIA

News from Pastor César García, Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, Pereira

P

LEASE join Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, Pereira in thanks-

giving that we recently had 62 people in the morning service and record attendances of 41 at the evening evan- gelistic service and 22 children in our morning Sunday School. We have been renting space in a

nearby building for the Sunday School but this has recently become unavail- able. We thank the Lord that, in his providence, the ladies who were care- taking the building have offered us the

use of their front room, just a street away.

Our current building has just one main meeting room which holds about 75 people so we are prayer- fully considering what to do as we see the imminent need to move to larger premises to accommodate both adult and children’s ministries and to enable us to expand our Sunday School out- reach. I would ask your prayers that more of our regular attenders would appreciate the priority of supporting the Monday evening prayer meeting, as they are able to do so. Six of us have recently agreed to- gether to constitute a formal church membership. Some four months ago I submitted a draft church constitu- tion to the Government, seeking registration as a non-Roman Catho- lic religious entity, which would enable us to operate as a recog- nised organisation. This has been challenged by offi cials and we are responding to their ob- servations. Please pray that it will be possible to achieve registration as we seek graciously
