New Avant models head for the UK
Avant Tecno (UK says that, following the launch of its E6 electric compact loader at the 2018 Executive Hire Show, the unit is now in full production, with the first deliveries expected in the UK this month. The compact loader uses Lithium-ion battery
technology and comes with an on-board charging unit as standard. This enables charging from any 230V/10A power outlet. Optional rapid charging stations are also available. The unit has two electric motors, namely one of 6kW for driving the machine and a 2kW motor
for loader boom operation and auxiliary hydraulics. Hydraulic flow is 30 litres per minute, which allows working with various attachments. The manufacturer, which will be exhibiting at Saltex, says that in light use, Lithium-ion battery performance is roughly 30% better than lead-acid equivalents, while in heavy usage it can be up to three times longer.
