SCOTLAND EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW
WHERE PASSIONATE HIRERS MEET INNOVATIVE SUPPLIERS GLASGOW GATHERING
Our Executive Hire Show Scotland gave hirers in the north of the country the perfect opportunity to get together and network with suppliers and fellow professionals.
“The Show is a great way of making contact with some key suppliers,” said Alan Redpath of Redpath Tool Hire. “The event allows you to see a lot of people and products at the same time in one location. We also place a lot of re-hire business to help customers working in other parts of Scotland, so this Show is a way of establishing links to drive this forward, too.”
“It’s great to meet up with industry colleagues you haven’t seen for some time, people you may have worked for in the past and contacts you might do business with in the future,” said Gregor Mabbott of Your Equipment Solutions. “The two presentations, on the UK Government’s Clean Air Strategy and on plant theft and fraudulent hire, gave us a lot of points to consider. And the exhibition was great: we bought a floor grinder from Husqvarna and were highly impressed by Hire Supply Co’s new battery powered oil heater. We’ll definitely be back next year.”
“The Show was excellent and very well organised,” said John Reilly of Envirosan. “We specialise in toilet hire and do a lot of business with several of the hirers who attended, servicing units on their behalf throughout the country. Some others said they are thinking of adding welfare units to their fleets, which we can obviously also service, so I think we will gain new business from attending. I talked with Kohler-SDMO about pumps for use on our service vehicles, and Police Scotland’s talk about plant theft was interesting - it’s a problem that even affects portable toilets, too. I’ll definitely be back next year.”
“I was disappointed not to be able to attend last year, so I made sure I was here again this time,” said Tommy Little of Speedy Services. “It’s such a great way of catching up with old industry contacts and talking with fellow professionals.”
“Many of the team at Brandon Hire & Hire Station attended the Executive Hire Show Scotland,” said Brian Sherlock, pictured (right) with John Whitby. “With more suppliers and fellow hirers in attendance, it has become a date in the diary not to miss.”
“It’s important to support industry events like this,” said Carl Bartlett (right) and Michael Baird of Lord Hire Centres. “You see suppliers and often come across items you weren’t aware of - after all, there's only so much a rep can get in their car when they visit you. We took advantage of a great Hire Supply Co deal on lighting as we stock up for winter, and their new battery powered oil heater looks very interesting.”
“The Scotland Show is a great chance to network with like-minded professionals,” said Colin Inglis (left) and John Cummings of Glasgow-based Eagle Plant Hire. “We had good conversations with the suppliers there, such as Brendon Powerwashers, and we made an appointment for Point of Rental Software to visit us to discuss new add-ons for our existing system. It is always much better to talk face-to-face rather than just relying on phone calls and emails.”
