I was keen to understand from an experienced rental man such as Tim his thoughts and perhaps philosophy on taking these Sinoboom products to market.

Fortune does indeed favour the brave. So while the period of negotiation and establishing of a business is challenging enough at the best of times, like the rest of the industry, it’s great to see the levels of resourcefulness and resilience applied here to work around and through the various stages that ultimately, thanks to Zoom (and the will to get the job done), the business was able to successfully launch earlier this year.

With extensive careers in the access industry, Tim and Wayne surely know what works in rental. In devising a range for the UK market, the pair settled on a preferred propulsion method and a core offering as follows:


Electric Scissor Lift This range of Sinoboom scissor lifts are electric driven, giving a safe working height from 5.8m to 15.8m.options from 5.8m to 15.8m.


Pinnacle's Sinoboom range is all-electric, for zero emissions on site.


UK Hirers will be keen to know that there is a two year parts and labour, five year structural and one year battery warranty.


I later caught up with Pinnacle Director Wayne Lawson and asked him more about the challenges the business faced negotiating a distributor agreement during a pandemic and in the midst of Brexit.


“On the face of it this was not an ideal scenario for complex discussions and negotiations, given the travel restrictions in place. The hours spent on Zoom enabled the progression and conclusion of the agreement, and it is a tribute to the support we have received from the Sinoboom Team.
