EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW INNOVATION TRAIL
C12
Your pathway to new ideas
There are 21 products for you to check out on the Innovation Trail at this year’s Show, and ten of these will be highlighted in our Innovation Trail - Live initiative.
One of the main reasons why hirers value the Executive Hire Show is that it enables them to see the latest products with hire potential from suppliers, and the Innovation Trail at this year’s Show will allow them to do just that. An impressive 21 products have been selected from 54 eligible entries received and each will be highlighted around the exhibition by eye-catching floor tiles beside each supplier’s stand.
Our judging panel of independent hire professionals assessed the entries according to how well they addressed key industry issues and customer requirements, as well as their essential ‘hireability’. Products must also have been launched since the 2018 Show. By following the Trail, hirers will discover some cutting-edge items selected by their peers.
Ten of these products have been selected as being
particularly outstanding and have gone forward into Innovation Trail - Live, held on a dedicated staged
area in Hall 2. Representatives from each supplier will discuss their product in ‘live’ interviews taking place hourly from 11am to 3pm on each day of the Show. Let’s quickly run through the chosen ten now.
The DU-Mital diamond blade from Duro (Stand A32) is designed as a safe and cost-effective alternative to bonded abrasive cut-off wheels for work with a very wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals up to 40mm thick. It is claimed to have a longer lifespan and to enhance efficiency by avoiding multiple blade changes.
The GM 340 from Flex- Elecktrowerkzeuge (Stand K10) is a mobile work station on which the manufacturer’s drywall sanders and dust extractors can be mounted. Flex states that it can be used

with other brands of sanders and it facilitates work at height for extended periods.
Four Ashes Machinery’s GeoRipper (Stand L22) is a hand-held mini trencher tool that is designed for use on applications like drainage work, pipe-laying, cable installation and pruning tree roots.
Available in 2- and 4-stroke versions, it can be used with 16in, 20in or 27in blades that are claimed to give up to 800m of trenching capability.
Also selected for Innovation Trail - Live is the DSH 600-X petrol cut-off saw from Hilti (Gt. Britain) (Stand D30). More details about it can be found in our dedicated article on the manufacturer on page 45.
The Master DC61 from The Hire Supply Co (Stand E42) is an infrared portable battery diesel heater that can work without mains power. Its 14V Lithium-ion battery operates for four hours on a full change, recharging in 60 minutes, and its tank holds fuel for seven hours running time. It can also be powered from a 110V or 240V supply if available and can be connected to a room thermostat.
