 1990s Scania P113.320MK 8x4 32-tonne chassis, which was built for J.W.T. Waste Disposal of Atherton

industrial rear end loader unit. The vehicle was acquired by Thomas Graveson waste disposal contractors of Carnforth for the collection of industrial waste from rear end loader containers of up to 16 cubic yards capacity. As well as being the decade of gigantic hair, shoulder-pads, the Filofax and the home computer, regarding waste management the eighties led to further developments with increased gross vehicle weights and four axle chassis combinations being used. Due to the innovations throughout the eighties, the nineties would see huge waste- management benefi ts in relation to larger capacity roll-on-off s, front and rear loading compaction units being used, thus improving the effi ciency for the

private sector waste contractors, and the transportation of industrial waste in general.
