McCloskey

TRAVELLING around County Tyrone, one thing stands out more than the impressive array of crushing and screening companies; the barrage of greenery.

However, other than the county’s natural splendour there is another entity that exudes the eye-catching tint of viridescent – McCloskey International.

A manufacturer of striking green-coloured screeners, crushers, stackers and washing equipment, McCloskey’s products can be easily spotted from miles away – which is complemented by the fact all the company’s machines are crafted with professionalism and originality.

Historically, McCloskey International was founded by Paschal McCloskey in 1985, initially as a custom fabrication and design house.

The company’s trommel line was developed in the late 1980s and within a decade McCloskey had become the leading trommel screen manufacturer in North America. Its success fuelled the expansion of the product line and dealer network.

In 2004, McCloskey purchased a manufacturing facility in Clonoe, County Tyrone and started to develop a completely new range of vibrating screeners. Design innovations and expertise available in Northern Ireland led

to the development of a crusher range soon after.

McCloskey announced a new business division in 2016, McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS), a new business focused on washing and classifying across multiple applications. The washing division designs and manufactures a full range of modular, mobile and static material and mineral washing equipment worldwide.”

Currently, McCloskey International is undergoing sustainable growth in markets worldwide – and as of last year the company acquired American crushing equipment manufacturer, Lippmann- Milwaukee.

The acquisition reaffi rmed McCloskey’s position as a world leader in the screening and crushing industry with its complete line of equipment including: crushers, vibrating screeners, trommels, stacking conveyors and washing systems. Built with power and durability as standard, every product is fi eld-tested before being deployed into a wide range of industries around the world.

Operations Director, Dominic McKenna said: “We have three production sites in the Dungannon area, including a £17m state-of-the-art facility in Granville which opened in March 2017. This new facility enabled us to bring inhouse much of the work that was previously subcontracted,

giving us more control over the fi nal quality of the product”. Quality assurance is a top priority, with all machines being run and tested before they are shipped.

Suzanne Dynes, Marketing and Business Development Manager, said: “McCloskey prides itself on how it takes on board customer feedback to implement continuous improvement in order to design and manufacture strong, reliable, innovative and user-friendly machines.”

McCloskey's extensive range of equipment works across a broad variety of applications including aggregates, landscaping, infrastructure and road building, construction and demolition, mining, waste management, and – most importantly – recycling.

With all McCloskey production facilities working to maximum capacity and further sales growth expected, the future is looking very ‘green’ in this part of the world.
