Greenacres Skip Hire Ltd celebrates 30 years gone to waste


GREENACRES Skip Hire was formed in 1989 by Paul Nicholas. It started off with one lorry and 10 skips after Paul’s dad identified a need for a reliable waste disposal service in the area.


Paul’s son Andrew joined the business in 2004 and a new transfer station and recycling centre was opened in 2006. This was the first facility of its kind in North Pembrokeshire. The business has now grown to nine staff members which includes pickers, drivers and office staff.


Andrew runs the Waste Transfer Station, Paul organises the skip hire and wheelie bin collection and all compliance and administrative duties are handled by Paul’s cousin, Non.


The company became limited in 2018 and has three directors: Paul, his wife Wendy and son Andrew.
