Ultra Screens tactically target SME market


ULTRA Screens may be a small operation when compared to some crushing and screening fi rms of County Tyrone, but the compact plant manufacturer knows how to wisely choose its market.


The company, based on Farlough Road in Dungannon, has a unique foothold within the area, which contains a wealth of waste recycling plant manufacturers.


With a view to target small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), Ultra Screens has created and shipped machines overseas as far away as Australia.


Ultra Screens’ Head of Marketing, Jamie Gates said: “We are targeting a niche market of SMEs because we don’t want to compete against the ‘big boys’ of the crushing and screening industry.”


With a focused target market, Ultra Screen has gained a tremendous amount of experience since 2006 in designing trommel and soil screens.


“Regarding our product line, we’re looking to innovate our Ultra Deck Screen, but these machines demand bespoke designs and there’s no point in creating this


machine until a company demands it.


“The current Ultra Deck Screen we manufacture provides a double vibrating deck, which is 1.2 metres x 3 metres, but we are looking to create and provide an Ultra Deck at 4.8 metres x 1.5 metres,” Jamie added.


Going forward, Ultra Screens are aiming to fi rmly plant their foot in the mainland UK market by supplying products to a wide range of sectors including skip and grab hire, construction, demolition, and biomass.
