WASTE RECYCLING

Mone Bros continue 35 year relationship with HARSH

MONE Bros, one of Yorkshire’s top tipper fl eets, have continued their 35-year ‘only underfl oor, only HARSH’ policy on buying tipping gears.

The fi rm purchased another fi ve new Scania 8x4s, four being standard tippers, and the other a tipper grab. For over three decades HARSH has been Mone Bros’ sole supplier of tipping gears, and all of those have been underfl oors.

Mone Bros Director, Phil Mone said: “A key bonus is that one man can change a ram. The process takes less than two hours, whereas with a front end gear, the entire cylinder has to come apart with the use of a crane, which eff ectively means the truck is off the road for most of the day. “A second benefi t is we’re using the same design of tipping gear across both our standard tippers and tipper grabs, which again makes things a lot easier for the workshop.” “For us, it’s a clear ‘case proven’ that HARSH underfl oors are also more stable than front end gears, and really do reduce our vehicle downtime.” Based at Morley outside Leeds, Mone Bros off er a full range of tipper-related services, including sand and gravel supply, plant hire, site clearance, and aggregate recycling.

With its fl eet now busier than ever, the company is considering further vehicle additions later this year. The HARSH J100/K110 underfl oor tipping gear models off er

unmatched stability when tipping. A unique design built around an exceptionally strong and rigid stabiliser frame, HARSH underfl oors keep the tipped body closely locked in line with the truck chassis.

Such additional stability adds a signifi cant safety margin in any tipping environment, which in turn reduces the likelihood of any expensive vehicle repair costs, and insurance claims. Mone Bros’ driver, Ady Wood (above) said: “Our trucks have to go anywhere and everywhere, doing every job under the sun.”

Molson Green put faith in Sennebogen 817E

With their head offi ce located on Smoke Lane Industrial Estate, near the M4/M5 axis, the Molson specialist recycling subsidiary Molson Green work with market leading brands for a wide range of products from material handlers, shredders, chippers, grinders, tromalls, crushers, screeners, excavators, loading shovels and attachments.

Following its launch at the RWM show last year, Molson Green have now taken delivery of the fi rst of the new 817E machines from waste recycling and demolition manufacturer, Sennebogen.

Weighing in at 17.2 tonnes without attachments, the 817E is the smallest machine in Sennebogen’s E-Series. It has been purpose built to the highest standards by the Bavarian manufacturer, to work in both tight and/or indoor sites, making it the perfect machine for many locations across the UK.

The 817E’s equipment options, which include the K8/K8 ULM and the K9/K9 ULM, provide a maximum reach of just over 9 metres to the dipper pin – with others available upon request.

Thomas McKiver, Sales Manager, Molson Green, said: “The Sennebogen range is a key set of products for the Molson Green off ering. We spend a large amount of time selecting the right manufacturers to partner with, so our customers can be assured that when they buy from Molson, they buy top quality products.

“We know that the Sennebogen and its Bavarian build quality and superior product design will stand the test of time, and keep customers coming back to Molson Green again and again.”

Molson Green has their own engineers and sales team trained by the manufacturer, to service their specifi c range of products. Therefore, Molson Green has the specialised knowledge, equipment and experience for a piece of waste recycling equipment, such as the Sennebogen E-Series.

Their service team strategically cover the UK, operating from locations in London, Bristol, Warrington and Stirlingshire.

The 817E provides a wide range of specifi cations, including: 34

SHM March, 2018

• A range of attachments: sorting grab, multi-shell grab, double shell grab, and a magnetic grab

• A multi-cab elevation system that reaches 2.4 metres • Powerful LED headlights for instant illumination

• Quiet operation, thanks to decoupled engine mounts and soundproofi ng in the doors

• Maximum safety and security through no-slip work surfaces, peripheral railing, and two cameras to the right and rear

The new 817E is benefi cial for companies with small yards, as it has been specifi cally designed to work in restricted and confi ned spaces. Due to its small size, the state-of-the-art machine is also ideal for indoor applications.

As well as the 817E, Molson Green also supply other Sennebogen material handlers, including the 818, 821, 825, and 830. Molson Green are also a dealership for Hyundai, Kobelco, Terex Ecotec, Keestrack, NPK Attachments, Daemo Attachments, and CBI Chippers.
