Mach-Tech hit the twenties mark with Mid UK Recycling installation
MID UK Recycling have invested in over 20 Lindner industrial shredding machines across their sites over the past ten years, and have welcomed the fi rst Mach-Tech Services installation of 2018 – another Lindner Jupiter 3200.
The Jupiter 3200 will help shred the 350,000 tonnes of waste which arrives at their sites each year.
Mach-Tech Services, of Greater Manchester, are the only suppliers and installers in the UK of any Lindner manufactured machine, which includes the Jupiter.
The Lindner machines are all situated within the fi rm’s four main sites, across the Midlands.
Solutions provide peace of mind
Mid UK take the unavoidable threat of fi re hazards very seriously. The waste fi rm have also been stringent in enforcing and abiding by all health and safety (H&S) regulations on site, putting in place systems to get unavoidable combustions under control and tackle fi res immediately.
Mid UK invested in solutions provided by FireShield Systems Ltd, which have been installed on all operational machines. These solutions provide peace of mind for Mid UK, and maximise productivity in what is an incredibly harsh working environment.
The systems take into account key factors such as rapid fi re response, the monitoring of outputs to notify BMS, local house alarm systems, and interlocks – while also providing simple cost-eff ective ongoing maintenance, and minimal downtime. This ensures any plant is back to work as soon as it is safe.
The solutions provided by FireShield include the UL-approved, rate-compensated heat detectors, which provide safety by monitoring hard-to-reach enclosures, and machinery spaces where debris can collect and mix with lubricants and hydraulics.
Another key solution provided by FireShield are the FM approved detection systems, which improve safety for ‘out feed’ areas. The system instantly detects sparks or embers occurring from unwanted metallic elements which can cause smouldering material.
