n PD Engineering's first 'Vulturel' 28L25 industrial rear end loader demonstration unit was constructed in 1984. The vehicle was launched at their stand at the Institute


of Solid Wastes Management (ISWM) exhibition in Torbay, 1984. Anthony Shutes, MD of Hales Containers Ltd, arranged to test the product at a Hales Containers depot. He acquired the demonstration unit, to add to their fleet of industrial rear end loader vehicles in the latter quarter of 1984.

WE'RE already into March and the busiest time for the entire industry is fast-approaching at a rate of knots.


Here we're preparing for WASTE'18 at Leamington Spa on Thursday, July 5. The stands are filling up fast, and we've had loads of interest about the event, which will be held at the splendid custom-built Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.


For those of you who are not familiar with the venue, it offers really great opportunities for large interior vehicle and machinery displays.


From the largest skiploader to the biggest piece of kit, we can readily accomodate these so that visitors will be able to examine these in detail safe from the elements.


I'd urge anybody who does not know about the show to look at the updated wastexpo.co.uk website. There you will be able to see who has signed up already, and consider if the unique one-day event is for your company.
