1 Writing Prompts Fantastic new writing resources designed in line with the English New Curriculum and provide support for children across all year groups. Each box contains 200 high-interest writing cards with the aim to inspire creative writing whilst also teaching children how to use a variety of styles. These cards are divided into 3 categories: persuasive, informative and imaginative texts. Within each of these categories, different writing styles are introduced and encouraged through exposition, procedure, recount, report, narrative and poetry activities. The cards may be used for independent writing, generating class discussions or small group work where children choose topics that interest them. Each box can be purchased individually, or as a box set including all 3. Box 1 is suitable for ages 6–8, Box 2 is for ages 8–10 and Box 3 for ages 10–12.
