To guide children to the right books, we work with experts to devise sets of banded books with varying text styles and genres, offering a great variety of reading material from early readers to fl uent readers. Each pack is ready stickered with book band labels. For 2014 we have provided more sets for our most popular book bands and a greater selection for our Banded Guided Reading sets.

1 Colour Book Band Labels Save time and money on labelling your books. This handy self- contained set includes the 17 different book colour bands as recomended in: Book Bands for Guided Reading and Bridging Bands for Guided Reading. The set contains 250 of each colour label.

2 Book Band Reading Target Cards
These A5 cards are designed to help schools support their pupils’ reading development from the earliest stages through to profi ciency. The front of each card includes key knowledge, skills and understanding relevant to the specifi c stage of reading development. The reverse side of each card lists ideas and hints to support teachers, parents and carers as they seek to support their child’s reading development.
There are 17 Reading Target Cards from Stages 0 to 16. Up to Stage 11 Lime, the cards mirror the ‘book band’ stages, used widely across the UK. The Target Cards for Stages 12 to 16 have been developed to provide continued structure and support as children move through to the higher National Curriculum Levels 4 and 5.
