Media One acquires Premex Solutions
P
remex Solutions, the US-based digital textile fabrics business, has been acquired by Media One as it looks to accelerate its growth in the American market.
Established to meet demand for digitally printable textiles, Premex draws on the expertise of its parent company, Manchester-based Premier Textiles Group, which was founded in 1981. The acquisition adds Premex to Media One’s existing portfolio, which includes Fisher Textiles and Hyperflex Vinyls. The move brings print-ready fabrics together with printing equipment, inks, finishing solutions and nationwide technical support. Jake Feldman, CEO of Media One, said: “Premex has developed best-in-class print-ready and pre-treated fabrics, along with real technical depth in natural and speciality textiles that complements our own printing technology and service expertise.”
Premex customers will continue working with the same people and products, now supported by Media One’s wider capabilities. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. For Premier Textiles Group, the deal will allow the business to concentrate its resources on growing Premier Textiles and Premier Digital Textiles across its core UK and European markets.
