Graphtec GB The C500


Making the cut with WID laser engraving machines


As the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for WID Innovations, Graphtec GB offers the latest C Series of laser engraving systems. They claim to provide a higher performance-to- cost capability that is fi ve times greater than any comparable laser engraving machine currently available.


The C Series is available in four different-sized models (500, 700, 900 and 1000), with respective processing areas of 700x500, 1000x700, 1300x900 and 1600x1000 and variable speeds of up to 90,000mm/min on the 500 model and 72,000mm/min on the 700, 900 and 1000 models. The machines incorporate CO2 tube and on selective models RF (Radio Frequency) lasers, with power ratings ranging from 60W on the 500 and 700 models and incrementally up to 120W on the 900 and 1000 models.

Key design features include a 150mm adjustable machine height facility, automatic temperature and air control systems and smoke/ dust extraction and waste retrieval units. An optional autofocus-empowered CCD camera ensures precise material/object engraving accuracy to accommodate the most complex applications likely to be encountered. Developed to meet the varying skill levels of both entry- level and seasoned professional machine operators, the C Series will handle a wide range of disparate materials. These include acrylic and various plastics, marble, glass, slate, solid woods, laminates and stainless steel, non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, nickel, tin and titanium and alloys such as brass and bronze..


All of the machines are robustly constructed and of a compact design to facilitate installation in work environments where space is often at a premium.
