DIGITRAN adds digital printing machine system to product line up

T

he DIGITRAN FlexLine DTF600 has been added to the range of DIGITRAN’s heat transfer products and solutions to enable flexibility in transfer production. This digital printing machine system combines printing and finishing in one machine. Therefore, two robust printheads are used to achieve a print resolution of 720dpi.

Water-based and Oeko-Tex certified inks in CMYK and white are used to create eco-friendly, stretchable, and colourfast heat transfers.

Mutoh EMEA releases XpertJet Pro Series sign and display printers

M

utoh Europe has unveiled its new generation of digital inkjet printers – the XPJ-1341SR Pro and the

XPJ-1641SR Pro.

Both single head CMYK printers feature brand new head technology, a new weaving algorithm and Mutoh’s genuine VerteLith RIP software to deliver a significant improvement in both print quality and print speed. The XpertJet Pro series printers also integrate automatic alignments to ensure uninterrupted production and consistent quality. Mutoh XpertJet Pro printers are targeted at high quality volume production of sign and display graphics for long-term outdoor applications and durable prints for indoor use. Thanks to the GREENGUARD Gold certified Mutoh MS31/MS41 inks, the output can be used at full room coverage, even in sensitive environments such as schools and hospitals. This widens the scope of applications for this type of printer. Engineered and manufactured in Japan, both models bring together the very best of Mutoh proprietary technologies for drop accuracy and therefore print quality. The XPJ-1341SR Pro and XPJ-1641SR Pro printers will be marketed by Mutoh Europe throughout the EMEA business area through its existing network of certified distributors.

process all the operators must do is to load the print files and cut them to size once they are printed. No more sheets that need to be moved from the printing press to another workstation to get the adhesive applied and finally to an over to dry them.

Furthermore, DIGITRAN also offers the printing of such transfer as well as all consumables related to the process – following the company’s one-stop-shop concept for heat transfer technology.

Energy efficient dryer for DTG and water-based inks from Vastex

A

new Lo-E Dryer cures DTG-printed inks and

pretreatment, and water-based screen-printed inks and discharge, at high rates using 20% less energy than comparable dryers is available from Vastex.

Mark Vasilantone, president of Vastex International, said: “We engineered the Lo-E for printers who have limited amperage, and those who simply want to cut energy costs and carbon emissions.”

The dryer cures up to 45 garments/hr printed with digital white ink at three minutes dwell time. At 1.5 minutes dwell time it cures up to 88 CMYK DTG garments/hr, 88 garments/hr with pretreatment only, or 88 garments/hr screen-printed with water-based ink or discharge.

Modularity permits users to quickly add one or multiple heating chambers and extend the conveyor belt, multiplying capacity in direct proportion to each heating chamber added. Conveyor extensions can also be added to the front or back of the dryer to optimise loading and cooling/unloading of garments. Drawing only 22 amps, the dryer’s two 61cm wide by 46cm deep

garment cured. Height-adjustable, the heaters offer dual zone temperature control with a boost zone to quickly reach cure temperatures.

A 10.5 m3/min. exhaust system evacuates moisture and air contaminates from the heating chamber, and cools the enclosure’s outer skin and control panel. The 76cm wide by 224cm long conveyor runs true by means of a low friction belt aligner patented by the company, with belt speed controls allowing infinitely adjustable dwell times from one to five minutes. Mr Vasilantone added: “Although the Lo-E Dryer is designed for curing of DTG garments, it can also cure screen-printed water-based inks and discharge. It’s the most energy efficient dryer in our lineup, and maybe the world.”
