P&P LIVE! 2022 rescheduled to April A

s organisers of Printwear & Promotion LIVE! we announce the

postponement of the exhibition from February 2022 to April 2022. The UK’s only exhibition for the garment decoration industry will now take place from Sunday, April 24 to Tuesday, April 26. The change in dates also means a change in hall at the NEC to Hall 12. Tony Gardner, event director, explains the decision behind the postponement: “Although, no further restrictions have come into place that affect the show taking place in February, following conversations with a large number of exhibitors, regarding the ongoing uncertainties in the UK, particularly the potential logistical issues caused by Omicron, we have looked at the options of postponing the

show. Consequently, with the support of the NEC, we have been able to push the show back by two months. “For the successful and safer running of the show, we felt that it was the more sensible and prudent decision to take up the option of moving to April, in view of the current climate. All being well, the situation will be a lot better by then, with exhibitors

Experience print in motion at FESPA Global Print Expo 2022

ESPA has launched the promotional campaign for its FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 and European Sign Expo 2022 events, scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 3 at Messe Berlin, Germany.

The campaign strapline ‘Experience Print in Motion’ highlights how, despite the challenges of the past two years, the speciality print market and the technology that supports it continue to evolve and progress. Michael Ryan, head of FESPA Global Print Expo, said: “Speciality print businesses are back up and running and making future plans, and FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 will give them fresh momentum, supporting them with investment decisions and ideas development at a critical time in the sector’s sustained recovery.

“After more than two years dominated by virtual alternatives, business decision-makers really need the energy and connections that only live events enable. The true value of a FESPA event for exhibitors and visitors is the wider experience: close-up views of technology and consumables; making human

connections; networking with like- minded business people; being inspired and discovering the latest technologies and consumables. In Amsterdam last autumn, we took the first steps to bringing colour back to speciality print. Now we all need to experience print in motion.” The 2022 event will provide a platform for technological innovation in digital wide format, screen and textile printing. International manufacturers are lining up for the event, with over 250 suppliers including Brother, Canon, Durst, Fujifilm, HP, Kornit, Mimaki and M&R fully committed to the event to date.

Enhancing the visitor experience at FESPA Global Print Expo 2022, FESPA’s popular Printeriors interior décor feature will highlight the many opportunities in printed interior décor. World Wrap Masters will also return, offering visitors the chance to see European vehicle wrappers compete for the title of World Wrap Master Europe 2022, followed by the show-down of the regional competition winners in the World Wrap Masters final.

Nazdar adds QR codes to product labels

N

azdar Ink Technologies has made its inks even easier to work with by adding QR codes to the labels of the majority of its products, allowing customers to easily access key information about its solutions. Almost all Nazdar ink products now carry the QR codes, which, when scanned by customers using a mobile device, allows them to view the full technical data sheet about each individual Nazdar ink.

These technical data sheets carry core information about the inks such as the type of substrates the inks can be used with, how they should be stored and the potential applications they can be used to produce, in addition to key safety and regulatory information.

The inspiration for the new codes came from Nazdar technician JR Bennett. He suggested the idea after taking part in specialist training sessions with wide- format manufacturer Roland DG, having seen that the manufacturer already provided QR codes on its own product labelling.
