ETC Supplies is the only company that is supplying a 100% biodegradable embroidery backing that is also certifi ed to be disposed of with wastepaper. This product is certifi ed by Oeko-Tex to Standard 100 and Annex VI, the highest level of conformity that includes environmental protection into account.
This wet laid embroidery backing is made from FSG certifi ed natural cellulose wood pulp fi bres from virgin material. The fi bres are fully biodegradable. To strengthen the material a small number of viscose fi bres are blended in the mix. These viscose fi bres are made from renewable cellulose origin. The fi bres are held in place using a certifi ed 100% biobased binder.

• Optical brighter. • Dyes. • Dangerous substances above threshold of 0.1% according to SVHC BY European Chemicals Agency. • This product meets the requirements of REACH Annex XVII.
This non-woven embroidery backing is designed to have a good softness and high strength. • Available in natural colour only. • Width: 100cm. • Length: 100m. • Weight: 50gsm.
This product should not be confused with water soluble non-woven materials.

This embroidery backing is 100% readily biodegradable according to OECD301B and certifi ed OK to compost to standard EN13432. Furthermore, this material can be recycled in paper and cardboard waste streams under EN13430. This would be confi rmed by your recycling company.
